I don’t often get a chance to write a blog entry – I’m usually just too busy writing for clients. However, at the very least I thought I should set the ball rolling with a view to hopefully adding to this as and when I get some free time.
Firstly, thank you for reading this. If you would like to check out a bit more about myself and my colleagues please click for more details about our team.
Secondly, let me please just update you on some of the new additions to our website in the last few months. Amongst other things, and in addition to our new blog, Rachel and I have added some articles, including a ‘helpful career resources for executives’ section. Please click on the link to check that out. Iimaan has also started posting job and career related news items for managers and executives on our website. At the time of writing she has only just recently started this, but she is aiming to post and comment upon several executive job/career related news items each week.
Another useful addition to our website is our LinkedIn profile tips section. At the time of writing a lot of LinkedIn advice has already been posted on our website, but we’re aiming to continue with this, giving you an extremely comprehensive and incisive overview of LinkedIn, and how to best use it to your advantage. Please click here for more details.
Additionally, we are continuing to include more case studies on our website, and especially since we have had some very good feedback about the first set of case studies. If you haven’t checked them out yet please do so by clicking here. Essentially, each case study relates to a real job that we did for a client. Each job that we do is different, and we tailor our approach to writing depending upon the client, their circumstances and their targets. There is a lot more to career sector writing at this level than most people realise, and the case studies should hopefully give you an indication of some of the many considerations at play. Each client we have is unique, so each CV we write is different, and as you will note, we also are flexiblein our approach to each job, depending on the individual and their requirements.
On a personal note I have just written up some case study notes on a job I recently did for a client who was applying for a top job at a prestigious university. That should be interesting reading, and especially for anyone who currently has a very long CV. Other recent jobs include work for a director of an international sporting association, a long-standing businessman looking for permanent employment, an interim CEO, and an overseas banking executive.
My work is varied – the one constant is I am usually extremely busy!
With that in mind, I don’t expect my blog section to be prolific in terms of regular and copious entries. However, I will try to add to it when I can, as well as continue with posting the occasional article and case study.
In addition to all this and my usual work, I am also working on a job/career book.
In the meantime, thank you again for your visit, and for reading this first blog entry. Please do check out the above links, and please also feel free to explore our website – we welcome your feedback and comments!
